Resident brings together a carefully considered blend of wares for you and your home. Established in 2015, the store began life online and at various pop-ups in London, before finally finding a permanent home in the beautifully cobbled streets of Frome. Highlights include handmade linen clothing by OffOn, ceramics from local artists and an enviable range of cutting-edge design products.
The lifestyle shop offers an ever-growing, expertly curated selection of home wares, accessories, grooming products and clothing and sits big-name brands alongside lesser-known designers and makers for a unique mix. Expect to see Ferm Living, Form & Thread, Instrmnt, Earl of East and Rains sitting alongside a diverse range of designers and makers from both here in the UK and overseas.
Throughout the year, Resident also run a series of events collaborating with local artists, producers and artisans. These have included workshops and pop-ups, inviting locals to enjoy Kokedama, calligraphy and cold-pressed juice events in the store with many more planned for the future.
We are super excited to be named as one of Britain's top 50 boutiques by the Telegraph!
The picturesque market town of Frome lies in the heart of Somerset, surrounded by vast swathes of open farmland, chalky ridges, undulating hills and valleys and generally stunning scenery at every turn. Explore the many cobblestone streets lined with an eclectic mix of independents and you’ll find everything from interior decor, quirky antiques and vintage clothing stores to children’s boutiques, florists and cafes.
On the first Sunday of each month between March and December, the streets of Frome become a pedestrian playground and the town welcomes a pop up community of producers, crafters and makers. Stroll through hundreds of stalls celebrating the best from local producers at the farmers market on Stony Street or the artisanal trinket filled suitcases and prams at the “suitcase sale” on top of Catherine Hill. This unique market celebrates the independent movers and shakers in the South West and draws thousands of visitors each year.View neighbourhoodView community
