Bar 15 feels like a space in which to have fun and indulge in the finer things in life, whether that be a glass of champagne, a perfectly mixed gin & tonic or a refreshing after dinner digestive. Here you can’t help but feel a little bit special.
Sitting behind the classic Georgian façade of a grand Bath townhouse, this cool bar is decorated in a contemporary, stylish manner. The interior is imaginative and fun yet retains a level of sophistication that perfectly matches the atmosphere and the extensive drinks list. Cocktails are described on a pack of playing cards and if warm, served over their own open flame, Champagne is only poured in crystal glasses and all are enjoyed surrounded by walls lined with curiosities and unusual artwork. The bar staff are fun and engaging and will happily chat or subtly slip into the background depending on the mood. It’s intriguing and unexpected in equal measure and we thoroughly recommend a visit.
Bath is a city steeped in history, and its beautiful sandstone buildings exude grandeur reminiscent of its regal past. For take a trip down any of the cobbled side streets and you’ll be lead to the beating heart of the city, the local businesses and their owners. From Walcot Street in the north to Queen’s Square in the West and Henrietta Road in the east, Bath residents are fierce in their support for independent businesses. And with good reason, for this city is packed with them.
